The Camel Carpets Story

Camel Carpets was born from a wish to carry the quiet beauty of Anatolian weaving into contemporary homes. Our story is rooted in a small weaving village in Western Anatolia, where family workshops keep the loom at the centre of daily craft and pass pattern knowledge from one generation to the next.

Village Loom & Hereke-Inspired Heritage

Anatolian carpets have been woven for generations in village homes and regional workshops using wool, cotton and silk. Fine Ottoman-era Hereke weaving brought particular prominence to silk, intricate floral detail and medallion compositions; expert weavers were historically connected with centres that included Manisa. Camel Carpets carries that refined visual language into a present-day Demirci village-workshop story.

This is a contemporary Camel Carpets piece with its own individual surface and character. It is not presented as an antique, a palace commission or a historic imperial-factory carpet.
